Announcement: Tulare County Superior Court Introduces Our Virtual Public Counter -

The Tulare County Superior Court is excited to announce our new service, the Virtual Public Counter.  Accessed via mobile device or computer, our virtual public counter offers real-time, face-to-face interactions with our Superior Court support team, potentially alleviating the need for a physical visit to the court. They assist with a variety of services like court records requests, payments, and self-help.  Due to procedural logistics some services may require an in-person visit.  Click here to try it now.

Guardianship Orientation

Tulare County Superior Court Rule 1007 requires each proposed guardian to view the educational program provided by the court.  This program provides an overview of the duties of a guardian. The orientation is divided into two sections.  The first section is a PowerPoint presentation that covers the general orientation for all guardians. The second section is a video, “Becoming a Guardian.”

Click for PowerPoint presentation.

Click here to view  “Becoming a Guardian” a video from Contra Costa Superior Court website.

Once you have reviewed the Orientation and video, you will print, sign and file the “Declaration of Completion of Orientation for Guardian.” You will file the signed original and two copies of this declaration in the clerk’s office, and provide one filed-endorsed copy to Family Court Services.

Click to download Declaration form.

For additional information and assistance, if you are self-represented, you can contact our Self-Help Resource Center.
